Summer 2013
At last a much better summer than the last few years, well going back to 2006! We had lots of heat, plenty of dry weather and plenty of thunder storms over the UK. In Watford all the storms missed here so no lightening pictures this year. A big contrast to last year when it was the wettest summer for 100 years.

Overall the highest temperature recorded in the UK was 34.1c at Heathrow on the 1st August. The lowest temperature was 0.2c at Kinbrace, Sutherland. The wettest 24 hour period was 89mm in Anglesey on the 4th August.
