Welcome to sizzling July, looks like another hot month to come! It has been another busy month of photography with lots of art exhibitions opening, graduate fashion shows and plenty of events around London to photograph.
In July, there are Pride in London and a few exhibition openings; the lavender fields will also be in full bloom.
More events are listed below.
In the month, there were the Graduate Fashion shows, the Serpentine Pavilion was open, and Frida hit London.

Watford Fringe Festival 2026 – 1st to 31st
A live line-up of great theatre, music, comedy, dance, family fun-filled shows and more is planned across the whole of the month of July, right on your doorstep. We’re predicting well over 70 performances across the festival – everything from pre-Edinburgh shows to renowned stand-up comics, music from international recording artists, award-winning acts, premieres of new material, returning favourites, and local talent!!

Pride In London – 4th
Pride in London is a historic LGBTQIA+ celebration that transforms the Capital into a stage for visibility. Featuring a massive parade through landmarks like Trafalgar Square, the event honours the movement’s history while celebrating the community’s vibrant present.

Village in Green at Connaught Village – 4th
A day of summer celebrations in the beautiful surroundings of Cambridge Square! From 12pm–4pm, the square will be transformed into a relaxed garden party where visitors can enjoy live music, family-friendly activities and complimentary treats, all set amongst one of London’s most charming green spaces.

Ana Mendieta exhibition at Tate Modern – 15th to 17th January 2027
This major exhibition dedicated to Ana Mendieta presents many of her iconic works alongside newly remastered films, early paintings, and late sculptural pieces, many of which have never been seen in the UK before. The show will continue outside the gallery walls, embracing Mendieta’s deep relationship with the natural world.

Colourwalk in Spitalfields Market – 16th
It is an informal gathering of colourful, creative souls who meet, dressed in their finest, to walk, talk, and strut their stuff. It is excellent for photography. This happens on the 3rd Thursday of each month.

Soho Village Fete – 19th
The 51st Soho Fete is back! Expect all the usual madness in St Anne’s Gardens from 12 noon, with six hours of live entertainment, French House Bar, snail racing, the Human Fruit Machine, stalls, Soho Police v Soho Fire Tug of War, AND the iconic Soho Waiters race.

Celebrating 75 years of the Southbank Centre with a vibrant, inclusive programme that looks to the future. Steel pan groups from across the UK come together for a weekend takeover to mark 75 years since the first UK steel pan performance at the Festival of Britain.

Now in its 13th year, attracting over 3,000 people from around the UK, the JiveSwing Festival has grown each year, with a much bigger stage and a growing line-up of the biggest international Swing and Jazz bands, DJs, etc., from around the UK.

David Hockney at Serpentine North Gallery – till 23rd August
The exhibition is conceived in close collaboration with the artist and brings Hockney’s celebrated ninety-metre-long frieze A Year in Normandie to London for the first time. Inspired by the Bayeux Tapestry, which will be on display at the British Museum in 2026, this monumental work captures the changing seasons at the artist’s former studio in Normandy.

Tracey Emin – A Second Life at Tate Modern – till 31st August
This landmark exhibition covers 40 years of Emin’s innovative work, featuring iconic pieces alongside previously unseen works. Cecily Brown: Picture Making at Serpentine South – till 6th September
Known for her vigorous brushwork, vivid colour and dynamic compositions, Cecily Brown presents paintings inspired by Serpentine’s unique location in Kensington Gardens, a site of personal significance to the artist. Themes of nature and park life have long shaped Brown’s formal explorations. She experiments with scale, colour and recurring motifs, such as amorous couples, woodland scenes, and uncanny nature walks.

Serpentine Pavilion 2026 by LANZA atelier – till 25th October
LANZA atelier emphasises the role of design in everyday interactions and identifies the pursuit of beauty as a recurring theme in their work. The Mexico City-based architecture studio founded by Isabel Abascal and Alessandro Arienzo, has anchored the 2026 Serpentine Pavilion on the English architectural feature known as a serpentine, or crinkle-crankle, wall.

The Last Princesses of Punjab at Kensington Palace – till 8th November
