In April 2015 one of my photographs was selected to be displayed in Ensemble Perpetuo’s sold out evening of chamber music and photography.
It was a brilliant event where different pieces of music were played to rotating photographs of cityscapes from around the world. A wonderful sculpture by the artist
Caroline Mackenzie made out of hexagons flowed across the room.
The music spanned many years with the theme of cityscapes the last piece was a mixture of choreographed dance by Lucia Sweigert called Living with Sin and performed by Kathy Richardson.
The photograph I had displayed was of St Pauls’s cathedral shown below. The photography worked well with the music and I think there will be more performances like this during the year.
Whilst the music was playing you could get up and look at the photographs / art work and even have a drink from the bar.
More photographs from the night can be found on my Flickr – httpss://www.flickr.com/photos/alalchan/
The photography part was organised by the London Photography Festival – https://www.londonphotofestival.org/ and the music / performances – https://ensembleperpetuo.com/. They have more performances during the year find out more on their website.
