Hot Hot May Day in Cassiobury Park

On a hot gorgeous day in Cassiobury Park the Morris dancers were out celebrating the May Day bank holiday around the iconic bandstand. The park was packed as the heatwave peaked, it felt like the whole of Watford had come down to the park. Below are some of the photographs I took on the day. There were two groups of dancers from Whitehorn Morris ladies group & Wicket Brood Border Morris group.

Scarlet Lady docked in Dover

On-board the Scarlet Lady with Virgin Voyages

Wow, this ship is impressive as we arrive at Dover Harbour; the brand-new Scarlet Lady is moored up, ready for our 3-day excursion to Liverpool. It looks like a massive tower block on the water from behind! With the recognisable Virgin branding, it will be our home for the next 3 days.

October Events 2025

London / Watford comes alive in October. The city’s trees explode into fiery shades after this year’s hot summer, promising one of the most striking autumns in years. But it’s not just nature stealing the show — Frieze Masters dominates the art world, Halloween unleashes a wave of hauntingly good events, and the Zombie Walk rises again after a five-year slumber.
