London Open Gardens – 10th to 11th
Explore over 100 unique and hidden green spaces which are not normally accessible to the public, including historic, traditional, contemporary and experimental gardens across the capital. Celebration of Cycling in Watford – 11th
SPOKES Southwest Hertfordshire Cycling Group and Watford Borough Council will be hosting the first ever ‘Family Cycling Day and Cycle Gathering’ at King George V Playing Fields. This exciting community initiative organised by SPOKES aims to promote cycling as a sustainable and healthy mode of transportation whilst also promising to be an enjoyable experience for individuals of all abilities, ages and skill levels.

Get your art fix at Art in Mayfair, which will see the neighbourhood transformed with striking sculptures, colourful flags and pop-up events. This one-month celebration of Mayfair’s cultural scene is the result of a collaboration between Mayfair, the Royal Academy of Art and the New West End Company.

Trooping the Colour – 17th
The Sovereign’s birthday is officially celebrated by the ceremony of Trooping the Colour (King’s Birthday Parade). This impressive display of pageantry takes place on a Saturday in June by his personal troops, the Household Division, on Horse Guards Parade, with His Majesty the King himself attending and taking the salute.

Alban Pilgrimage – St Albans – 24th
Alban Pilgrimage, a magnificent procession to celebrate Alban, Britain’s first saint. Each year, 12ft tall carnival puppets representing figures from the story of St Alban take to the streets to re-enact his historic story. The puppets are accompanied by people of all ages dressed as lions, Roman soldiers, angels, chariots and more.

The Annual Ironic Summer Vampire Picnic will be at Holland Park as I have never been there before, and it looks pretty for photos. Activities will include having a picnic, hide and seek, and not ending up in an ornamental pond.

Hilma Af Klint & Piet Mondrian Forms Of Life at Tate Modern – till 3rd September
This is a unique chance to discover the visionary work of Swedish painter Hilma af Klint and experience Dutch painter Piet Mondrian’s influential art in a new light. Although they never met, af Klint and Mondrian both invented their own languages of abstract art rooted in nature. At the heart of both of their artistic journeys was a shared desire to understand the forces behind life on earth.

The Rossettis at Tate Britain – till 24th Sept
This exhibition follows the romance and radicalism of the Rossetti generation through and beyond the Pre-Raphaelite years: Dante Gabriel, Christina and Elizabeth (née Siddal).
