E-luminate Cambridge Festival

Cambridge was all lit up for the illuminating festival light on the 12th to 17th February 2016. I met up with an excellent Cambridge photo-walk crew to visit some of the installations around the city.

The theme this year is Connecting Lights creating a connection between the various parts of a complex city that is fast changing. The above photo is taken at the Senate House.

Pong at Market Square, Artist – Jack Beccegato and Carlo Fiorini.

An international duo of creators and pioneers in the arts and entertainment sector. Inspired by the 70s iconic video game.

Venn at the Senate House,

Artist – Ross Ashton & Susie Olczak

Lines and shapes merge in this beautiful projection. Reminiscent of the Venn diagrams a tribute to John Venn who studied at the college.

Twinkling at Great St Mary’s Church Garden, Artist – Eleonora Nicoletti
Shimmering upcycled CDs that are interconnected with thin cables that tremble in the wind.

Colour Collection at Fitzwilliam Museum, Artist – Gabby Shawcross
Moving lights show on the stunning architecture, 200 colours were sampled from objects in the museum to produce the palette.
