Ring of Reflection – Cassiobury Park

The COVID19 pandemic has been a difficult time for everyone. It has been a time of loss, of grief, and of isolation. However, it has also been a time of coming together and supporting one another.

In Watford, that sense of community has been on display in the form of the Ring of Reflection. The ring comprises 18 cherry trees; there is no significance to the number of trees. The trees have been planted around the bandstand in Cassiobury Park, Watford, and they are a symbol of hope and renewal for the community.

The trees will be a reminder of the resilience of the people of Watford, and they will provide a place for reflection and healing for years to come.

I think this will be a beautiful addition to the park and certainly will look picturesque in the spring. A good place for people who have lost loved ones to come and reflect.

The event started at 11am with the newly re-elected Mayor of Watford, Peter Taylor, giving a speech.

A plaque was later revealed, which will be located near the bandstand.

Here are a few photographs from the event, more of which can be found on the links below.
