Slices of Time is a new art installation at the NOW Gallery in North Greenwich. It opened on the 5th February till 19th April 2020, stunning, beautiful, intricate and delicate numbers hang down to produce slices of time creating an amazing art installation.
The artist is Emmanuelle Moureaux a French architect who has lived in Japan since 1996. This is her first time exhibiting in the UK. Made especially for the NOW Gallery she was inspired by the Greenwich Meridian with each slice representing 100 shades of colour and white. Layers of numbers reflect the now, the past and the future, there are 168,000 numbers which make up the installation. A moment, a slice of time, creating dates to be acknowledged and a moment to think about ourselves in contemplation with the now.
The Gallery can be found on the Greenwich Peninsula with the nearest tube station Greenwich North. The exhibition is free to go to, there are a few more events happening in the gallery which can be found on their website (link below)
