Sun-setting on the ‘Lion King’ tree in Watford

£39.00£160.00

Description

This sunset wouldn’t look out of place on an African Savannah. I always enjoy evenings in the park, and this is one of the most popular trees in the park that I like to photograph. Its nickname is called the ‘Lion King tree’ and has become one of Cassiobury’s landmark features. The tree is a Ceder of Lebanon and it is thought to be around 100 years old.

In 2013 it was found to be in poor health and was spared being chopped down by adding a fence surrounding it.
